What is GatePass, exactly?
What it does on a school day, in plain terms.
GatePass scans every student in and out at your school gate using a QR card. From that one scan the register fills itself, the parent is told their child arrived, and you can name every person on your campus at any moment.
It then runs the rest of the school day: visitors approved before they arrive, trips where every child is scanned onto the bus, boarding sign-out and night roll-call, fees and their reminders, notices to parents, incidents, and reports.
Schools work in a web console on a computer. Staff, parents and visitors use one app on a phone, which shows each of them only what their role allows.
What does it cost?
One price per term by student numbers, and a full term free first.
Is the price the same everywhere?
Local currency, local price, and what happens if your country is not listed.
How do we pay?
Mobile money, bank transfer or card — and when the invoice arrives.
Is it one app or several?
One download for parents, staff, gatekeepers and visitors.
What do we need to buy?
A phone at the gate and printed cards. That is the list.
Does it work when the internet is down?
The gate keeps scanning. Nothing is lost.
Who can see our school’s data?
Your staff by role, parents for their own children, and nobody else.
How long does it take to get running?
About an hour of work, most of it waiting for cards to print.
Can we use more than one gate?
As many as you have, each with its own phone.
