Print the ID cards
What GatePass generates, what you print on, and what to do about lost cards.
GatePass generates a card for every student and staff member, carrying your school name, the person’s name and class, and their QR code. You download them as a print-ready file and print them yourself — on a card printer, or at any print shop.
What to print on
PVC cards last a school year. Laminated paper works and costs much less, but expect to reprint a portion of them each term. Either is fine — what matters is that the QR is not creased across the middle and not printed smaller than about 2cm square.
A lost card
Reprint it from the person’s record. The new card carries a new code and the old one stops working the moment you issue it, so a lost card in someone else’s hands is not a way into your school.
