At the gate
A student has no card
Letting someone in by hand, and what gets recorded.
It happens every morning. Do not send a child away.
- 1Tap Find a person on the scanner screen.
- 2Type part of their name or their student ID.
- 3Check the photo matches the child in front of you.
- 4Tap their name to record the arrival.
The arrival is recorded the same as a scan, and the parent is notified the same way. It is marked as a manual entry with your name against it — not to catch you out, but so that if a question is asked later, there is an answer.
Always check the photo. A manual entry is the one place where the wrong person could be recorded as arriving, and a parent would be told their child is at school when they are not.
